Neurodiverse people are fascinating!
As I rack up my coaching hours for my ADHD Coaching accreditation, I am regularly amazed at the resilience of my neurodivergent clients and their amazing uniqueness.
Focusing on ‘late in life’ diagnosed adults, my clients include:
👌 a mum of 3 young kids who is also a teacher,
👌a literacy specialist who tutors neurodiverse kids
👌CEO of a successful start-up
👌a new dad who is also a tech wiz
👌a recently qualified nurse
👌and two solopreneurs.
They all have their own challenges, strengths and stories to tell.
Some interesting facts:
💜None of them just have an ADHD diagnosis. They all have co-occurring conditions including anxiety, depression, dyslexia, or autism for example.
💜How they describe their relationship with their ADHD is also unique. Some wear their ADHD like a gorgeous, sparkly coat for all to see, Others accept it, want to understand it better but see it as a private part of themselves.
💜Some want to understand their strengths better, others are shocked when they realise they have strengths.
All of them have interesting, unique stories to tell
If you have ADHD, or know someone who does, ditch the stereotypes or what you think you know about ADHD or Autism.
Be curious and be kind. Everyone has a story to tell
